Yearly member dues are $80 per budget year (September 1-August 31). Members are also expected perform two of the myriad volunteer opportunities that help keep the organization running smooth. Members can also elect to be an "associate" member, paying associate dues ($40), which permits practice and performance participation in one large ensemble for one season (i.e. only the fall or only the spring season of Symphonic Band) or a full year of practice and performance with one small ensemble, but no voting membership in the organization. A member who pays associate dues can convert that membership into a full membership at any time by making a second $40 payment.
Payment Options

Dues can be paid by cash or check and are due by the forth rehearsal of any ensemble in which the member participates. Two volunteer activities are also expected of full members that can be done anytime during the fiscal year.

Volunteer Commitment
Full members need to fulfill 2 volunteer commitments and Associate members need to fulfill 1 volunteer commitment. The various tasks will be available for all members to peruse and sign up for at the start of the fiscal year. Once a volunteer task(s) has been performed, the related board member, conductor or other authorized individual will issue the member a certificate of completion, which the member then turns into the volunteer coordinator to mark off completion of activity.
Scholarships
Passive volunteer commitments can be made available for members who may have difficulty fulfilling some volunteer commitments.
A limited number of scholarships are made available through organizational budgeting and the generosity of other members. Members who have a financial hardship may apply for a scholarship with the member resources officer, however application does not guarantee receipt. Scholarship applications will be processed within two weeks of submission and will be kept confidential. Scholarship recipients must fulfill a volunteer commitment as if they were seeking a refund of one-half of their dues as a full dues paying member. It is stronger urged, but not required, that scholarship recipients try to perform volunteer service over and above what would be required for a regular paying members to receive a 50% refund of their dues.
Waiver Forms
All members must sign a waiver form and delineate their form of payment with the member resources officer at their first practice attendance (full payment, payment plan, associate plan, or scholarship). No exceptions. Members who fall more than two months behind on a payment plan (without approved release based on fulfillment of their volunteer commitment) will be notified of impending lapse of membership. Members who are in bad standing due to nonpayment at the end of a concert season must then pay in full to participate in the next season.
All payment arrangements are confidential. However, section leaders will be notified if a section member is delinquent in processing their payment option, so that the section leader may facilitate a payment discussion between that section member and the member resources officer. Question? Comments?
