Discover the symphonic sounds of Chicago's LGBT community!
Founded in 1999, the Lakeside Pride Symphonic Band has established a reputation for delivering quality, entertaining programs.
The Symphonic Band presents two major performances each year in the beautiful auditorium of Northside College Preparatory School, located at 5501 N. Kedzie in Chicago. In late November and mid April, the band presents a themed concert. In addition, members of the symphonic band appear in December's "Dance-Along Nutcracker" at the Chicago Cultural Center.
The band always likes to surprise audiences w ith the sounds of special guests. We are proud to have shared the stage with the Chicago Gay Men's Choir, Windy City Slickers, Artemis Singers, Rev. Gregory Dell and the Broadway United Methodist choir, Golosa: the University of Chicago Russian Choir, State Rep. Larry McKeon, tuba virtuoso Micky Wrobleski, the Dykes on Pipes, as well as other Lakeside Pride ensembles.
The Symphonic Band rehearses for the fall season from September-November, November and December for the Dance-Along Nutcracker, and January-April for the spring season. Our rehearsal home is the Preston Bradley Center. Click here for directions.
