Highlights of this uplifting program include  the Broadway United Methodist Choir joining Lakeside Pride to perform an arrangement of Samuel Ward's "America, the Beautiful". The lyrics were penned by a lesbian English professor, Katharine Lee Bates, and were inspired in part by the professor's visit to Chicago during the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition.

The performance also features a transcription of Leonard Bernstein's overture to "Candide" along with holiday favorites like "How the Grinch Stole Christmas."
